Gay man arrested after saving child porn in his Dropbox account

A man was arrested after workers discovered that he saved child porn in his Dropbox account.

23-year-old Christopher Hernandez of Panama City, Florida, was arrested on Wednesday.

According to an arrest affidavit of the Bay County Sheriff's Office, employees of Dropbox did a scan on the account as part of its normal operations.

They came across some questionable files, and reported them to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The center passed the information to the sheriff's office. During their investigation, detectives discovered that the email that was connected to the account belonged to Hernandez.

Detectives further discovered that he saved several files of boys being involved in sexual activity, some with adult males and some with other children.

According to court records, one file contained three boys who all are under the age of 18, engaged in sexual acts.

When he was confronted, Hernandez allegedly said that he had been watching child pornography for several years, but had recently stopped.

He then allegedly admitted to having been in communication with a 17-year-old boy, and that they have exchanged sexually explicit images through Snapchat.

Dropbox is an application that allows users to save and transfer files between several devices.

Hernandez was booked into the Bay County Jail, on a charge of possession of child pornography.
