Actress pushes random woman in front of speeding New York City train

Investigators are trying to figure out why an actress pushed a woman into the path of an oncoming train, according to police in New York.

The New York Police Department said that they have arrested 35-year-old Keira Keeley of the Bronx after being accused of pushing 57-year-old Leonore Gonzalez, who was waiting for a train at the Union Square station in Manhattan.

Keeley has been charged with attempted assault with intent to injure with a weapon.

She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $7,500.

She was released from jail on Monday after posting her bail.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Saturday, at around 11:45 p.m.

Gonzalez was waiting at the Union Station platform when Keeley approached her from behind.

Gonzalez felt a push and she went flying towards the train tracks.

Luckily, Gonzalez was able to grab onto a pillar seconds before falling into the path of an oncoming train.

Gonzalez suffered bruises and back pain as a result of the attack.

The victim did not see her attacker, but witnesses at the scene told police that Keeley pushed the woman.

At first, Keeley told police that she might have accidentally bumped into the woman.

She then changed her story, saying that she was out drinking with her boyfriend and felt wobbly, but she denied touching Gonzalez, according to the New York Post .
